Adson Bipolar Forceps 1.0 mm tip, smooth jaw, 4-3/4" (12.0 cm) Adson Bipolar Forceps are designed to minimize heat and current while coagulating. For use during bipolar electrosurgical procedures, these forceps are designed with a 1.0 mm tip and a smooth jaw. Available in both insulated and insulated with irrigation. Just as with their standard counterparts, these forceps are the most common bipolar forcep model. Bipolar forceps are designed to control temperatures, minimize heat and current spread and reduce tissue sticking or charring while coagulating during bipolar electrosurgical procedures. They are available in a variety of styles that provide bipolar coagulating capabilities for a wide range of procedures: irrigating or non-irrigating (for flushing surgical site to improve visualization), with or without insulation (to eliminate conduction to surrounding tissues when performing deep procedures), straight or bayonet-shaped (to enhance visibility by keeping the surgeon's hand from the line of sight). Allis Tissue Forceps standard pattern standard pattern of the Allis Tissue Forceps are intended for the use of firmly grabbing or holding body tissue during surgery. This pattern includes a ratchet ring-handle with a selection of different sizes and types of teeth to accommodate various medical procedures. These teeth curve to the inside and may cause less harm to the tissue because of decreased general pressure applied to the area.

These types of serrations are designed to eliminate damage caused to the tissue when trying to grasp or hold it during surgery. The adjustable ratchet ring-handle provides the forceps to be held in a locked position. This instrument is also presented with narrow or standard jaws with an option of 6" or 8" length.
