Olsen-Hegar Needle Holder and Scissors is handcrafted from German stainless steel and tungsten carbide inserts that provides control, precision and a dependable non-slip crosshatched surface. These instruments feature a scissor built into the jaw for a two-in-one combination. The jaws are available in smooth or serrated while the combination construction allows for suturing and suture cutting without changing instruments. A range of lengths are available, all of which come with a gold-plated handled. Tungsten carbide needle holders provide unparalleled control while suturing. The precision-milled, pyramid-shaped teeth ensure a dependable, non-slip surface. Some needle holder styles are also available with smooth tungsten carbide jaws, designed to hold the smallest sutures in microsurgical and plastic surgery procedures. Tungsten carbide jaws are inherently more durable than stainless steel and clinicians will experience an extended service-life. These needle holders feature gold-plated handles.
