Bi-Color rongeurs feature a combination black and gold titanium nitride surface treatment, which hardens and protects the instrument body and cutting surface for a durable, smooth gliding action. These coated rongeurs do not need sharpening as often as traditional rongeurs, thus reducing operating costs and enhancing service life. The rongeur is a specialized instrument ideally suited for use in laminectomy procedures. It features small handles and thin footplate and is 40 degrees up which allows it to comfortably maneuver in the narrow spaces in and around the vertebral column.
